Roll Back Malaria & Social Mobilization and Social Mobilization

ogboko roll back malariaHigh Awareness Campaign that Anopheles Mosquito Transmits Malaria into peoples blood was carried out in some Local Government Areas of Imo and Nasarawa State. There was Social Mobilisation of Women, Men, Youths and Children in the bid to change their orientation that Malaria is not contract by eating some type of food especially too much Palm Oil. Those that participated in this Social Mobilisation have disassociated their mindset of the myth. They can categorically say that Anopheles mosquito transmits Malaria.
The Social Mobilisation was done in collaboration with Society for Family Health (SFH), Grass Root Community Development Initiative and Health and Life Initiative.
These campaigns were illustrated in different ways – Health Talks, Dramas, Songs, Interpersonal Communications, Sensitisations, Random Diagnostic Test(RDT), advocacies and distribution of  Actimisimin Combination Therapy drugs in the following communities.

Imo State:  Total number of people mobilized is 5,421.
Isiala Mbano Local government: Amaraku, Ugiri, Umuneke Eziama Mbano, Okohia, Obollo & Mbeke, Ogbor
Ikeduru Local Government Area: Atta, Inyishi, Eziama, Iho, Amaimo. Ngugo, Akabo,Mbieri, Amata, Ikembara & Uzoagba
Ideato North: Arondizuogu, Obodoukwu & Umualaoma

Ideato South: Akokwa, Orlu, Osina
Owerri West Local Government Area: Avu

Nasarawa State: Total number of people reached was 2,301.
Awe Local Government Area:  Wuse, Ribi, Janguru, Makwangiji
Karu Local Government Area: Karshi 1 & 2, Gurku-Kabusu, Keffishanu
Keana Local Government Area: Madiaki Giiza, Kwara, Iwagu, Amiri, Galadima
Obi Local Government Area: Gidan Ausa1 & 2, Obi Agada, Adudu, Daddere,
Toto Local Government Area: Dausa, Garagwa, Shafan Koto, Umaisha,
